Also known as: Double Leg, Blast Double
The double leg is wrestling's power takedown—you attack both legs simultaneously, driving through them to take them down. It requires more commitment than the single leg but results in a dominant top position when successful. The key elements are level change, penetration, and driving through with your hips.
Drop your level by bending your knees deeply. Your chest should be at their waist height.
Shoot your lead leg between their feet while changing levels. The knee almost touches the ground.
Wrap both hands behind their knees or thighs, locking your hands together.
Drive forward with your hips and chest. You're not lifting—you're driving through them.
Put your head to one side (not in their stomach). This determines which direction they fall.
Head down in stomach
Keep your head up and to the side. Head down = sprawl and front headlock.
Arms only, no hips
The power comes from your hips and legs driving. Arms just connect you.
Shooting from too far
Set it up first with ties and feints. Long distance shots get stuffed.
Falling to your knees
Stay on your feet and drive. Knees down = no power.
